ILM was able to provide a custom solution for a unique stained glass project in Southern California. San Roque church has three 4′ x 10′ stained glass windows that have been a part of the church’s legacy for the last 75 years. The windows are a key artistic feature and focal point for the church. They are permanently mounted on an inner wall that has poor access to natural light. Alternative methods of artificial back lighting were considered by San Roque Parish to boost the illumination and draw attention to the stained glass. An LED backlit light box solution by ILM Light Boxes was selected as the best way to meet the church’s overall objectives for low maintenance, minimum energy consumption, natural light color and uniformity. We were able to provide all of these elements at an affordable cost. The project was completed and all objectives were met. The parish is very pleased with the final result. ILM enjoyed working with Joseph Schulte of San Roque Parish in Santa Barbara, CA to complete this exciting project. Now the entire congregation can enjoy the beautiful stained glass windows for years to come.
