Light Boxes on Tour

Light Boxes on Tour

ILM’s light boxes are hitting the road as part of the Water Ventures traveling learning lab!  This amazing vehicle is actually a 53 foot semi-trailer which has been customized to provide a platform for educational outreach programs. The truck will travel across Florida visiting schools, communities and events.  A dynamic staff of trained educators will travel with the truck and they will interact directly with the public at every venue.  Once inside the truck, students will explore museum quality learning activities.  The exhibits will focus on water education and increasing awareness of how this vital resource moves through our lives.  Interactive exhibits will encourage positive stewardship of Florida’s water resources.

The light boxes were featured in a few key spots within the lab.  Custom size ILM light boxes were used as a sky feature when you enter the lab.  The 1″ deep light boxes were fitted with shoe box retainers for added security and mounted to the ceiling for an impressive view.  ILM’s light boxes were also displayed in a custom recycling exhibit inside the learning lab.  The goal of the lab is to engage hands-on learning, inspire critical thinking and empower students to make a difference in the world around them.  To learn more about Water Vetures and their partners Crystal Springs Preserve and Zephyrhills visit waterventures.us
